Helgstrand Micro Tour2* (pony)

The purpose of Helgstrand Micro Tour2 * (pony) is to make inexperienced riders and ponies more familiar with the most basic principles of dressage. The test should give both you and your pony a solid base to build on before you move on to the more challenging exercises.

What do we look at in the test? To get well through the test, you need to have good self-control so that you can control and help your pony through the exercises. You must focus on your pony being willing, relaxed, and confident. It is also important that the pony accepts the bit, and that the edge of the nose is slightly in front of the vertical line. Your pony must also be in a good balance, work in an unforced position and move forward with good energy throughout the test. The gaits must be natural, in a clear rhythm both on a straight and curved line.

The most important is not how precise you are in the exercises. It is more important that you focus on having a good connection to the bit and having the right posture, as well as that the gaits are correct.

Enjoy!
