Helgstrand Micro Tour1* (horse)

The purpose of Helgstrand Micro Tour * (horse) is to make inexperienced riders and horses more familiar with the most basic principles of dressage. The test should give both you and your horse a solid base to build on before you move on to the more challenging exercises.

What do we look at in the test? To get well through the test, you need to have good self-control so that you can control and help your horse through the exercises. Your horse must be in good balance and show suppleness throughout the test. You must focus on your pony working correct from behind through it’s hind legs and beck with the correct position of the neck and the horse needs to be able to work and be supple in this position throughout the test.

We expect you and your horse to show us: • Halt • length of the steps in walk • Trot with increased step length • Circle in trot with clear extension of the reins • Turns in trot and canter • Canter with increased strides

Enjoy!
